Mid-Autumn Festival or Moon Festival (中秋節) is this coming Sunday. For me, it’s not about the festivities, but the joy of staring at the big beautiful round moon on that quiet night. Over the years, I’ve been telling the boys about the legends and folklores about this holiday. Today, when they see their lunches, they’ll know what the rabbit represents.
The lunches are made with fried rice (Ah Lo loves wrapping his rice with seaweed and eat it like sushi), cheddar pretzels and black grapes. We’ll share the moon cakes later on.
