Just finished an assignment for my high schooler. Today, October 23 is Mole Day which commemorates Avogadro’s Number (6.02 x 10^23, a measuring unit in chemistry). Her chemistry class is celebrating this day with a fun twist. For “lab”, each student is to make a stuffed mole (with a mole template). The mole should have a name that contains the word “mole” and should be dressed in an outfit that matches the name. We sat down and came up with a bunch of moles we can play with (i.e Rock-n-Mole, Moleficient, GuacaMolee). Extra points awarded for being creative; therefore, I was anxious to “help”. Since I have the materials, I basically took over the “lab” while she wrote the report.

Here’s what I came up with, introducing to you “Holy Molely.”
