Here’s how I steam a whole fish. It’s simple, delicious and of course, nutritious! First thoroughly clean fish, inside and out. Next cut few stalks of green onions and put it on plate.

Before putting the fish on the plate, I use paper towel to dry fish, again inside out.

Next add slices of ginger on top of fish, and you’re ready to go. Make sure to put plate when water is boiling. Depends on how big the fish is, boil it in high heat. In general, for 1-1/2 lbs (10 mins) or 2 lbs (12 mins or so).

When it’s done, I like to add cilantro on top before adding soy sauce on it. That’s how I steam my fish. Simple.
