Today Ah Lo’s class is leaving for a 3-day, 2-night overnight NatureBridge field trip to Marin Headlands. It’s one of the best field trips in terms of educational value. Students will visit the Marine lab and get to touch intertidal animals, go to the Marine Mammal Center to see injured sea lions, explore bioluminescent plankton, and go to a pond to find macro-invertebrate fresh water animals. Students learned about watersheds and the water cycle and what it takes to be a steward of nature. Most groups got to do a stewardship project, such as cleaning up trash on the beach. I’m grateful that the boys have this opportunity for this great educational experience. I will miss him!
