A Friday ritual.

A single photo – no words – capturing a moment from the week.

A simple, special, extraordinary moment.

A moment I want to pause, savor and remember – {this moment}

Feeling a bit lazy today, so didn’t try anything fancy for our meatless Monday meal. It’s the whatever-I-can-find-in-the-fridge kinda meal.IMG_7735

After dinner, even got to enjoy some down time with the boys. We played some Mancala and I totally crushed them when we played Monopoly! Wakakaka…

“7 Little Words” introduced to the boys by Mr. Piggy and they were hooked since then. It’s a puzzle with 7 mystery words, 7 clues, and 20 letter groups. I believe the words are more difficult as they pass each level. Both boys love it to play this game and it is helps build their vocabulary.  Their vocabulary is incredibly large for their age level. Though I’m not a big fan of video games, but when I see them on this one, I would leave them alone. Untitled

Christmas countdown activity: playing board games.

It’s amazing how fast kids learn, especially on games! Just two weeks ago, Ah Lo and I were playing checkers (via an iPhone app). From his moves, it was obvious that he didn’t know what he was doing. Just last night, we got back on again with the game. I was totally impressed how carefully he made his moves. At the end, I won and he wasn’t very happy. Regardless, I saw the huge improvement on his strategies.

I asked who taught him how to play. He answered with a smirk, “I taught myself.” I was impressed, though I didn’t tell him. I’m not a big fan of video games (especially kids at such early age.)

“Today I am thankful for being healthy…”
